Souvenir 2012
Dale Clock and Diane Van Wesep

Back by popular demand! This jewel of a show debuted during the 2012 Summer Fine Arts Festival at the Howmet Playhouse. Starring Dale Clock and Diane Van Wesep, the show tells the true story of Florence Foster Jenkins and her long-time accompanist, Cosme McMoon. A living legend in the 1940s, Mrs. Foster Jenkins believed herself a great coloratura soprano, but in reality she couldn't sing two consecutive notes in tune! Mrs. Foster Jenkin's last performance was to a sold-out Carnegie Hall a month before her death. This heart-felt show examines the relationship between singer and pianist, and how a passionate love of music can transcend lack of talent. Directed by Judy Johnson; music direction by Catherine Gilson.

“Souvenir was one of the funniest plays/musicals that I’ve ever seen! The acting was superb and the story was extremely humorous.” - Mort Kantor, Muskegon theater-goer
